Oval, the Nut Bird, and the transformation [a long winter dream]

Digital format, Procedural Installation project + Xenofiction.

Generative structures of oval-shaped particles that decompose in response to the sonic variations of the environment. The intention is to create interactive spaces that react to field recordings of migratory birds. These visual architectures are designed to mimic, in their decomposition, aerial formations of flocks of different species during their migration.

Somsocosmos

Work carried out during the São Joao Residency (in São José do Vale do Rio Preto, State of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil). Sound research conducted individually and collectively, focusing on the decolonization of the sonic space and the use of contemporary Latin American tools to narrate new landscapes. These investigations were developed parallel to a series of spatial interventions in an old coffee plantation. The performance “Sinos” and others were developed as part of an exhibition open to the neighboring public of São José do Vale do Rio Preto and participants of the visual residency at Casa Figuera.
